I struggled with this issue - fixed it by going to Application Settings and changing access type to ‘Read, Write and access’, waited a couple of minutes, then recreated the access token. This time it worked. I then set the access type back to Read+Write.

Can you describe further what’s broken for you? Are you creating a new application and then requesting to generate an access token? What happens after you make the request? If you refresh the page five minutes later, is it still not there?

Or are you trying to generate a new access token for an application you’ve already gone through this process for before?

I’ve gone through the ‘create new application’ process and then the ‘generate my access token’ process a few times today and cannot recreate the issue.

Created a new application. Created access token, worked fine. Realized I was set to read only, changed to read/write/direct and tried to regen token, didn’t work. Gave it 10-20 minutes, still nothing. Reset keys and tried remaking access token twice, didn’t work.

This should now be resolving, though it might take you a bit to fully work itself out. You may need to revoke your token again before retrying the creation.

same here, i think there are some changes on twitter at the background… i have opened another account for my other company and they didn’t send confirmation e-mail (i changed it 4 times for different one, even on popular and nothing).

about tokens… i was trying to use old one, but website gave me information that there is no data to display… i hope twitter team will resolve it soon good luck

I am also having the same problem. Create access token --> “Status
Your application access token has been successfully generated. It may take a moment for changes you’ve made to reflect. Refresh if your changes are not yet indicated.” but nothing has changed. I also cannot change my API keys.
