Problem when adding follow button

I am trying the Javascript way to add a follow button. I am expecting the following added after clicking the button. On IE10, after click the button; a new window launched with the follow button on it. I have already signed in. Is there a solution to this issue?

The state and behavior of the button changes depending on the following relationship of the perspectival user – if you are logged in to Twitter and already follow @twitterapi, when you click the follow button it will open up the follow intent instead of performing a (redundant) follow operation.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am logged in to Twitter and have not follow @twitterapi. I “unfollow” when try the button. Then I see different behavior for the button:

1. On FF and Chrome, I am following twitterapi after clicking on the button.
2. On IE10, I am navigated to another page (just like intent) and need to click the follow button there.

Seems IE10 is not on the fully supported list: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/follow-button. Is this behavior expected? If so, will IE10 be supported soon?
