Posting statuses on behalf of the user that created the application

As i understood i can post only 15 statuses in 15 minutes window and the user context is required for this. But maybe i’m missing something. So the question is:
Is there a way to post status on behalf of the user that created the application using application-only authentication with higher rate limits.

Application auth can not act on behalf of a user. From the documentation:

And it won’t be able to:

• Post tweets or other resources;
