Player card image preview isn't rendering in native mobile apps

I’m using the Player Card for an audio. In Twitter’s iOS and Android apps, the image preview isn’t rendered and just the original URL appears as a link, but the card image preview works appropriately on m.twitter.com. The Card validator also shows no issues.

Should an image preview render in the iOS and Android apps, and if so, any ideas as to why it isn’t? I appreciate any assistance.
