Welcome @p50815
Login? How do you implement OAuth1.0a?
We are also experiencing this issue and looking for an explanation. A temporary, emergency hack work around is to authenticate via the incognito mode of a browser.
I don’t want to speak for the OP, but I am encountering this bug when any 3rd party twitter app sends me through the oauth/authenticate endpoint. Previously you would input your username and password on the page returned by this endpoint, now it redirects you to a different twitter endpoint to actually input your login info at https://twitter.com/i/flow/login.
I’ve had two reports of this issue today and free account signups for my app are down 75% today. This seems to be why.
Thanks for sharing the incognito window workaround @AhmadibnRachid. That’s what we typically recommend for OAuth login flow issues. Good to know it’s working in this case.

Looks like this is resolved. Signups have returned to normal levels and I haven’t gotten any new reports of this from my app users.
Thanks, @semifor! I was able to work with the team, and we rolled back a change that caused this issue. Let us know if this continues, however.
Hi guys
I logged out of twitter more than 12 hours ago and I am still getting “The account being added is already logged in”. I know about “the incognito window workaround” and that is the only way I could log in yesterday. This has been going on for weeks.
Josh
Thanks, @JoshuaHoffman75. Are you still having this issue? If so, I’ll chat with you the team about this.
