Hi, despite the fact that I was given an academic access, I found myself unable to create any projects or apps that would have access to 10 m tweets. All the projects I create, even if I select academic research, end up with elevated access only.
I’ve seen a topic from 2021 where people had similar problems but ti seems resolved and closed now. Could I ask for some help here?
What does your developer portal look like? Was an academic access project created for you? and what code / library are you using?
Also, if you applied for a developer account as an academic, that does not automatically grant “Academic Access” this is a separate thing: Twitter Developer Access - twarc
It shows standard, elevated and academic access. As per the link you posted (“On your Dashboard https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/dashboard you should see “Academic Research” or “Standard” and “Standalone Apps””) I see only projects and standalone apps. No academic research present there, but I can see that academic access was granted under “Products”.
I tried to use Tweepy (so Python3) and also Gephi with Twitter API Streaming Importent v2.
I applied to academic as a developer, not the other way around. The access is granted but I can’t create other apps than elevated.
Do you have a screenshot? They seem to be changing something in the UI and it’s hard to say because mine looks totally different.

Usually when you apply like this, you also have to apply for the Academic Access endpoint separately, it’s not granted automatically: https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/petition/academic/is-it-right-for-you
Absolutely. Please see screenshots attached:
The link you posted sends me to my dashboard. I am not sure what, but it looks to me that I am missing something
Ok, this makes it clearer, thanks - while your developer account use case may be academic, you do not have an Academic Access Project, you have “Elevated” - After you get accepted for Academic Access, after filling out this form https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/petition/academic/is-it-right-for-you you have another separate project created for you that appears with a “Academic Research” Label:

Your second screenshot is a documentation page, which i take to mean “you can have access to this, in theory, but it’s not set up”
I think the UI here is a bit awkward.
My apologies for coming back to you. This is extremely helpful and it’s nice to finally understand what’s happening. I’ve got one more issue, hopefully minor. When I click your link it just sends me to my dashboard. How else can I access the form you’ve mentioned?
