"Not a valid URL format' error when creating new application

I am trying to create a new twitter application for use with a website. I am currently developing the site locally, but when I try any of the following Website addresses the “Not a valid URL format” error returns:

http://127.0.0.1
http://127.0.0.1/path/to/drupal/install

Then I tried using the web address for another website I created, but that also returned the same error:

http://www.may-unu-site.com

Any help with this would be great.

I just tried another application and am getting the same error when I attempt to put in any URL. I have made sure there are no proceeding spaces in the URL or spaces after the URL. I have tried addresses with “www.” and without. I have absolutely no clue why it will not accept any URL address I put in the field.
