None of my company's web links seem to work in Twitter Cards

Our social media team uses Sprout Social, and we’ve always had the issue with the Twitter Card not displaying. Until today, I thought it was a fault of our provider. If only it was that simple…

I have discovered https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator, and entered multiple links from my company’s website. None of them seem to pull a Twitter card, which must be why Sprout Social can’t pull a correct preview.

When entering links such as:

• http://spie.org/about-spie/international-day-of-light?utm_id=ztwz
• http://spie.org/newsroom/collaboration-key-as-ligo-is-prepped-for-future-breakthroughs?highlight=x2418&ArticleID=x128577

I get messages like:

ERROR: Required meta tag missing (twitter:text:title)

ERROR: No card found (Card error)

I’m at a loss, since I’m not a developer and don’t create our webpages. Is there something that can be done by our web developer to fix this?

Your web developer will need to follow the Twitter Cards instructions to add some markup to your pages to have cards generated.
