I found the below and it seemed to indicated that it fixed the issue, but the text doesn’t say what the FIX is…can you help…we use this tool very often for rainout notifications and such for our Little League:

Just noticed my feed not working last week. After much tweaking and troubleshooting, following outdated responses, etc. Tony’s post below finally solved my problem.
@lopezpagan Tony (The Brain)
This work for me. Put this in the header. Then put in the body the widget an it will work.
This widget worked fine and then just stopped working on day and hasn’t worked since.

If you have a public page with that problem could you just give the URL?

Will not let me create widget in setting click on create and the save new widget the goes to 403 Forbidden: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it.
If there isnt a fix, can we atleast have a date for when there will be a fix so we can all plan around this.
This link shows the Twitter Timeline Widget always working on all browsers I’ve tested, and his code is a bit different to the code that comes from the Twitter Widget code:
https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines
Why is it that his code works on all browsers but the code from the Twitter Widget doesn’t always work?
This morning, my Twitter Timeline is showing up in Firefox but not Chrome.
I too am having the issue where I sometimes (around 50-70% of the time) get “Tweets by @[insert username]” instead of the actual twitter feed widget displaying. The widgets.js script is already included in my page thanks to a Tweet button. Can someone please tell me why the feed isn’t working? It seems most of the responses on this thread are from a long time ago… yet the issue remains?
Its still happening on my website, a similar issue to yours. I’ve just checked in Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE 7 and 8, and Chrome and it does it in all browsers. The embedded timeline works about 30% of the time at the moment.
Use to work most of the time…

Note: Its happening on my S2 phone as well, along with my Nexus 7 and even on my old XP system used for testing.
I’m just wondering, does a particular doc type declaration have any effect on the embedded timeline? I haven’t changed mine at all but just wondering…
My embedded timeline on my site has worked well all day without one problem. Is there any feedback as to what the problem actually is?
Have tested in four browsers on my Nexus 7 (Opera, Dolphin, Chrome and Firefox) and all good.

I have been having a similar problem, it occasionally works. I don’t think it has been resolved but it seems to be better (working 80% of the time). This leads my to assume this is some kind of network problem, maybe to much load on the servers?
I hasn’t yet seen a reply from twitter regarding this issue which concerns me, a simple we are looking into it would be reassuring.
I got it working! For me, it was that I have a DoNotTrack plugin in Firefox that was blocking twitter. I disabled it and… voila!
This was posted a year ago and the issue is still here?
I think the best solution is to remove the twitter widget feature, simply does not work and the Devs, clearly will not fix it, unfortunately.
I am at a loss why they broke it in the first place, strange… however, I do not expect a response, just showing my disappointment like ALL the rest here and in many many many other forums…
Same here! The “DO NOT TRACK ME” plugin was the culprit.
I am having trouble installing the Twitter Widget into a module in Joomla. I have read about inserting http in the code and putting the domain name, but I do not see where to place the domain name and the http code isn’t working. All I get on my site is Tweets by HC_Natasha. My website is www.natashapennant.com. Can someone please help me?
