New Twitter Policies and Media Outlets

#1

We are a news website and have around 25 different twitter accounts with a total of about 10m followers. We have rss feeds on most our accounts and one news story (eg.: “Putin wins Russian election”) would be automatically posted to several of our accounts simultaneously (such as /Breaking News, /Top News, /Politics).

We also have sharing buttons on our website, so if an article is shared by many people, the tweets would all have the same wording.

Questions: Would these tweets count as bulk?

How many of our accounts can tweet the same article without being marked as Spam? (many people follow our main account and our breaking news account)

What solution do you offer for us except for cutting the feeds or killing the accounts?

Hi there -

As an alternative to posting identical content, you can Retweet content from one account from the other accounts you wish to share that post from. This should only be done from a small number of distinct accounts that you directly control. You should be fine doing this given your example - e.g.: RTing an election story to three accounts - Breaking News / Top News / Politics.

Re: sharing buttons on your site - this is fine as long as folks are only able to share an article to an individual account.
