New search API?

Hi Was wondering if there is a way to search only for the latest tweets in the last half hour via the search API? I do not see a time parameter as an option, there is since_id but then I always need to have the latest id for that. Any idea on how to just get the last 30 minutes tweets?

It sounds like you have a pretty good understanding of what you need to do.

The sinceID will be the best way for you to control this.

Are you polling the API to try to get semi-realtime Tweets? you might want to consider using the statuses/filter endpoint.
