Hi,
To answer your question:
How do I know how long this video will be available in Twitter ads?
Is there an expiration for this video?
+
But I dont think the expiry for upload.twitter.com and ads.twitter.com relate to each other.
Usually, the value (sec) of expires_after_secs means how long the media asset is available before being used. Once the media is used (e.g., in a Tweet), it becomes a permanent asset. Otherwise, if you don’t link this media asset (a video file in this case) then it will be expired after expires_after_secs seconds.
Does this make sense to you?
Also, there’s a case that expires_after_secs can be another indicator:
Upload media - POST media/upload (INIT)
The entire file must be uploaded before expires_after_secs seconds.
So in this case, you must complete your upload session before you hit expires_after_secs seconds. Once you completed sending FINALIZE command, expires_after_secs means just as usual that I mentioned originally above.
Thanks!
Shohei
