My application cannot fetch tweets from twitter api

I am working on an application where it requests twitter APIs (both Rest and Stream),for this purpose I have created my twitter account,and posted a tweet so that I can check if my app is getting the tweets.
After adding the oAuth credentials to my app,as I run my application,it is not fetching any tweets from the twitter API.
Cannot detect the root cause…please help!!

Can you provide any code examples?

What language are you using? what endpoint or streaming filter are you using?

Is there any HTTP error code in the response?
