I’ve developed an Android Twitter app and released it in Google play (and open sourced it on github). Today it suddenly stopped working and, after a quick analysis, I’ve found that the app key disappeared from the twitter developer console and a strange message is popping up:

#welcome We have sunset apps.twitter.com. You can manage any of your existing apps in all of the same ways through this site.

Here is a screenshot

Any idea what is happening? I’m sure it was all ok at least till last Saturday, so, of course, I had a working API key in a listed app till no longer than two days ago.

apps.twitter.com no longer exists and you need to apply for a developer account to be able to use your apps. You can read more about this here.

This is not the answer to my question. I doubt that you even took the time to read what I wrote. I had an app perfectly working since several months ago. Did you delete all the apps and ask all previous developers to apply again from scratch? No for sure. Please don’t waste time with useless comments. Thank you.

Apologies for the confusion.

Do you remember the App ID that’s no longer showing? If not, what’s the @handle of the account linked to your App ID?

Thank you. At the moment I can recover the following info.

Consumer key should be:

ovmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaeA7

The name of the tweet source was:

MyOpenTweet2

The app was registered with my twitter user, of course.
If the above is not enough I’ll try to gather other info in a couple of weeks… but I hope it’s not needed.

Thank you for providing that information. I’ll reach out to you shortly with an update.

Any news?
