Hello everybody,
I tried to configure an app for the Social Login and apparently everything is ok, but then when using it it doesn’t seem to work.

I followed the various guides but during the creation of the app it seems that some steps are missing, how to set “Development” and after “Production” … did I do something wrong? how can I do?

Thank you

Do you have the exact error you’re getting? What’s the code / plugin you’re using?

Hi and thanks for the reply
Use the Super Socializer plugin for Wordpress.

The support of the plugin has also tried to verify but, as I had already seen, the log error does not return errors, apparently everything is ok but then the registration / login does not take place.

From the support of the plugin they told me that the problem is that the app is not in Production

“You need to switch the Environment of the app that you want to use for social login, to Production. You can have only one app in the Production mode so before this you need to switch the other app to staging or development.”

I followed this guide of the plugin support but the steps where it says to set Development and then to switch to Production do not appear to me during the app creation process, I also tried to create it again, as if the app could only be in staging and I cannot change its status.

Am I wrong? Is there something I don’t understand?
It should be noted that I have created the bees for other social networks and they work and there are no problems

Thanks

Try on your project settings, near Apps you should see Manage and that should let you pick an existing app to mark it “production” in the project.

(But with your own project id in the url)

Unfortunately no, there is no Manage item and there is no possibility to change the status :frowning:

I think it is really a serious bug on twitter, also because I had no problems with all the other social networks.

But is there a way to get assistance from twitter? who can verify the account and fix their bug?

It looks like you have not created a Project - you have an App, but a Project defines the “Production” environment: Projects overview | Docs | Twitter Developer Platform

Thanks for your patience, but maybe it will be my fault that I don’t understand
How do you create a project? By clicking on Create Project?

Done, then I give it the name, select a Use Case and project description, and here we are

If I don’t go on in the App creation process but I go back to the dashboard I see the project created but no Mange, in the options and Edit there is only the possibility to change the name and description and to delete the project

Well … I’m about to give it up, in my opinion the problem is Twitter

What happens when you follow the app creation process anyway?

It creates it, gives me the keys, I set the necessary permissions and links and the process ends, apparently ok, but then nowhere is there a switch or something like that or a call to Environment or Production

I’m not sure because your dashboard looks somewhat different to mine, i see something like this:

In fact, the dashboard is different.
Searching the net for a while I stumbled upon other people who are having this problem. Even the twitter developer support is not responding … let alone, and all those who are having this problem have come to the conclusion that it is a serious twitter bug that occurs randomly on some accounts and for which there is no solution.
Some have solved it by creating numerous accounts until one went well (randomly), but I don’t want to create dozens of accounts, I don’t have dozens of phone numbers to associate and honestly seen the beginning I’m afraid it could create problems for mine site given the many malfunctions of the twitter functions, assistance does not exist and therefore in case of problems you can not solve them … at the moment I preferred to archive the twitter access and I am also thinking of removing the sharing (the card validator the random one also works and the posts I share sometimes don’t have images) as well as not using twitter for the site anymore.
Well … as much as I like the “concept” of the platform I have to admit that technically twitter is too full of bugs and continuous malfunctions
