Missing billed_engagements metric

I would like to get the billed_engagements data, according to documentation (https://dev.twitter.com/ads/analytics/metrics-and-segmentation) billed_engagements should be available in all endpoints and is returned by default. I was unable to retrieve the billed_engagements metric even when requesting it explicitly:
