I asked the developer of a Twitter client if he would implement a feature which exists in Twitter for Android, TweetDeck, the Twitter site itself and a number of third-party clients, namely that when I reply to a native retweet, it includes the person who retweeted it in the mentions at the beginning, not just the original author. This makes sense as the RT’er is someone you follow (or whose profile you decided to look at), while the original author probably is not. However, the developer refused to implement this feature, telling me it is against the automation guidelines. Is it?
