Large Image Summary Cards Randomly Disappear

I’ve had no issue validating large image summary cards. But randomly - usually after a short time - the images for the cards disappear. I then have to go back and resubmit the card URL to the card validator to have the image reappear. Nothing changes on my WordPress website, Twitter just drops the image - not all of them, some of them or randomly here or there.
