Is it possible to have the TWTR.Widget read a JSON file instead of a live feed? I have written a small function that captures our twitter JSON file every 15 minutes and writes it to our webserver. I would like to have our twitter widget read this file instead of the live twitter feed, so that our twitter pages load faster.
It’s possible but would take you an inordinate amount of work. Instead of capturing an XML file from Twitter, you’d be better served capturing JSON, since that’s the format used by the Twitter widgets.
Thanks for the reply Taylor. OK, I captured the JSON file, so how do I plug it into the TWTR.Widget?
does this thing work?
