Javascript in feed XML causing parsing errors - is this a bug?

Try:

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.xml?screen_name=retirebetter

(or any handle, for that matter)

And there is XML returned AND a bunch of JavaScript at the end. Obviously that makes the XML invalid. Is this a bug on Twitter’s end? If not, is there a way to exclude the script?
