Is it possible to retrieve the popular hashtags based on a given language?

Hello everyone,

I’d like to get the most popular hashtags based on a specific language.

For example, just like when retrieving the trends which are based on specific location. I want to get the same but based on specific language.

Is that possible on Twitter API ?

No, trends by language is not a feature currently supported by the API. You could try to derive the trends yourself by monitoring the streaming API, determining each Tweet’s language, and drawing your own conclusions about what is trending.
