Is it possible to load (target) the share window into an iFrame or lightbox instead of a separate window?

I would like to use the widget API along with Web Intents, but I would like to have the share window load within an iframe (or other DOM object).

Is this possible?

It is not possible – Web Intents either need to load in the current browser window or within a new window. If you want the benefit of the javascript callback events you’ll also need to use the suggested Javascript to evoke those windows.

So basically there is no way to load the “tweetBox” into a DOM object the same way we can with the Anywhere API?

Correct; Web Intents are just destination URLs with optional Javascript on the side. The Tweet Button allows for some more visually interesting “calls to action” for pre-prepared tweets, but ultimately launches the Tweet Intent in its own window as well.
