Is it possible to check if a user has a twitter account from an email address and return the username?

Hi

I’m looking into the possibility of making a social plugin for a website and wondered if its possible to check Twitter and see if a user has a Twitter account based on a search with their email address? If a user has an account i would also like it to display the users username.

As long as it’s possible i’m happy to read through all the documentation, but if it’s not i’ll just quit now lol

Any guidance would be great
