I have been browsing the internet a lot in the search to find an answer to this question. Is it possible to get tweets by only the users’s location in their profile and time frame. I found an example code of how to get tweets using the REST API but including a keyword that the tweets must have in common. If there is a way I would appreciate it a lot if someone tells me and if it’s not possible with the REST API how can I get this type of data even if I have to pay for it.
This is the kind of search you’d want to look at something like Gnip for - this is a paid service. Specifically, the public API has a limited search based on timeframe - it only goes back for about 7-10 days.
