[iOS App] Getting a new DM doesn't cause the window to scroll

I just ran a series of tests and found the following:

• If you are at the bottom of the screen, a new programmatic DM will adjust the view so that the latest message is in view.
• If you have scrolled up so that one message is out of view, a new programmatic DM adjust the view so that the latest message is in view.
• If you scroll more than one message, the new programmatic DM will not adjust to bring the new message into view.

This is functionality that we are likely not going to adjust anytime soon. Regardless, I will make sure to communicate this to the proper team.

The current behavior on iOS (last I checked) is the following:

Receive a series of programmatic dms every 20 seconds.

Leave your phone on the table.

Notice how they it doesn’t scroll. It works fine on Android and the behavior you described is consistent on that platform.

TLDR: On iOS it doesn’t matter if you scroll it still doesn’t show the new DM.

This is becoming a very large issue for us – users are regularly complaining about not seeing DMs on time.

Looks like any message more than 3 lines long caused this to occur.

For example both of these messages are fine

If you send a quick reply button set with that 3rd message that appears just fine just you can’t see the dm. You have to scroll down to see which causes the buttons to disappear.

Looks like hard returns don’t make a difference. Just plain text that exceeds 3 lines long when wrapped causes this bug.
