#1

We have next twitter tags

        <meta name="twitter:card" content="app">
        <meta name="twitter:app:id:iphone" content="351331194">
        <meta name="twitter:app:name:iphone" content="Badoo - Meet New People, Chat, Socialize">
        <meta name="twitter:app:id:ipad" content="351331194">
        <meta name="twitter:app:name:ipad" content="Badoo - Meet New People, Chat, Socialize">
        <meta name="twitter:app:id:googleplay" content="com.badoo.mobile">
        <meta name="twitter:app:name:googleplay" content="Badoo - Meet New People, Chat, Socialize">

On badoo.com site. But validator show “invalid card type” error. Why?

I tried this on my test account, and it works:

Can you provide the URL?

(Also, be sure you’re testing on mobile; the app card appears there.)

#4

Great. After tweeting out the URL, did you test on mobile?

#5

Right now - all ok.

I have the same problem with my app:

I set all meta-tags, i think, all right. But when i try to approve my twitter card, i get error: Invalid card type.

Can you help me? What wrong?

#7

twitter:site and author use with @

#8

it doesn’t help me(

#9

Not 100% sure what’s going on here. I took a stripped down version of your tag here:

http://cardstest2.blogspot.com/2013/09/summary-hound-dog.html

And it validates w/ info properly. Is it possible to start with a simpler page on your site with just these tags and run through the validator?

#10

Yeah, i add this meta tags to another site, and it works.

I try to remove all meta-tags from site(but leave twitter- card meta- tags) - it didn’t help.

I try to add user- agents to robots.txt:

User-agent: Twitterbot
Disallow:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

But it still doesn’t work.

@rchoi thanks.
I add simple page http://barnotes-api-test.herokuapp.com/test
And my card was approved.

But now when i try to tweet i have card without image:

Hey, so I’m trying to enter names for our app on the various stores in the twitter:app:name:googleplay field, etc., but when I update the preview, the lights turn amber and the names disappear. The names are written exactly as they appear on the appstore. Is there something that I’ve overlooked? Thanks in advance.

Hi Haunted,

Can you provide the URL of the page you’re adding the Card to?

Thanks!

Why I always get error : Invalid card type ?
This is the link which I try to validate : www.cristisebastian.com/usanze-matrimonio/
I’m using Squirrly SEO ; they have this feature that add automatically twitter card. I only have to Select Summary & Validate URLs and I get Invalid error. Help ?!

#16

Hi Cristi, there are no twitter card meta tags found on your page so the “invalid card type” is displayed. You will need to contact Squirrly SEO to troubleshoot why their tool is not adding the proper tags after you’ve selected to do so.
