In our application, we are trying to implement Single Sign On to DISQUS using Twitter credentials. We are getting the Twitter credentials using the access token and token secret obtained from end user. We are able to fetch the user information using “GET account/verify_credentials” Twitter API.
DISQUS Single Sign On requires a user e-mail address to be specified:
However, Twitter’s “verify_credentials” API does not expose the user e-mail address. We do not want to fake the users’ e-mail addresses since we would like the users to be able to view their own comments when logging in to DISQUS without our application.
Please help us to resolve this issue.
