Include URL in DM

Good day.

We plan to use Twitter API to send out invitations to our service from Twitter user to Twitter user. I.e. user writes the text on our website. Then presses the “Send to a friend” (not to be confused with the classic share). We receive from API list of his friends. He chooses the target friends and press “send”. Message is automatically generated and contains the reference to the text on our site. Please give a definite answer: “Can I include full URL in DM?”. If so, how?

When the DM system is functioning typically, yes you can include a URL in a direct message the same way one would in a tweet – by simpling including the URL as part of the text.
