Images not showing up on summary cards

I am encountered the same problems reported by several others in this thread. When using the validator tool, the summary with large image card shows correctly. However when sending the message, the image doesn’t show.

The problem has been checked against several different accounts over several days. The title and summary show, but the image is missing.

I have read documentation and this thread. I have a valid robots.txt file and the site was authorised a week ago.

and the url to the image is https://taxpoint.com/Portals/0/Images/deluxe-edition.jpg

Frustratingly there’s no error from the validator, so if it is timeout/https issue, it isn’t reporting it.

Testing this I’m seeing that your image points to http://taxpoint.blob.core.windows.net/content/web/img/social-media/deluxe-edition.jpg which is a different domain, and I’m also seeing that there’s no robots.txt file for the crawler to validate access to images. I would look into those issues as a starting point.

We changed the card to point to an alternative http location and now the image works fine confirming that it is some issue with reading the image from the original domain.

The original image location was https://taxpoint.com/Portals/0/Images/deluxe-edition.jpg

If needed I can re-host another page with the previous card information if that helps.

This is still not working and I am not sure why. Really need some help.

We have tweeted the following URI from our @debeersgroup account but the image does not apper.

Apparently only the homepage twitter card image appeard to be working.

The code is exactly the same on all pages. We remain confused by this.

It may have to deal with your robots.txt. Can you ensure you have a Twitterbot entry in it?

I have issue in getting Image at twitter timeline.
It was working before few days, and now it is not showing there.
It is showing image in card validator, all tags are working.
In page it is showing all content but no image is there.
I checked all forums and followed all possible things but not succeed.

You don’t need twitter:image:src as this is no longer a valid / used tag. Just use twitter:image.

I noticed you have spaces in the filename for your image. I don’t know whether that may be causing issues here. Can you try renaming the image to remove the spaces?

Bear in mind that the card is probably now cached for that URL, you may need to take a look at the Troubleshooting Guide to get it to update.
