Image not showing up in summary_large_image card

I am tweeting this URL: http://bit.ly/1QOxzO6
it returns valid meta tags, but with these issues:
1). doesn’t show the image (image ur: https://img.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/files/2015/10/mass_shootings.png)
2). generates summary_card instead of summary_large_image card

It’s an urgent issue, it will be greatly appreciated if somebody form Twitter can help and resolve this issue.

Note: URL http://bit.ly/1QOxzO6 will not return meta tags if opened through browser, but will return if Twitter bot crawls. (Twitter Card Validator will also show the meta tags)

First you should avoid using bit.ly, Twitter already has t.co url shortener so no need for it. (If you just did it for this forum, ignore what I said)

Second, what I get when I impersonate Twitterbot is the following:
