IE10 and the new Timeline Widget

Widget dont work well in IE10. The height is not adjustable.
In Google Chrome its working correct.

Having same issue in that widget shows fine in Chrome, etc., but is tiny and can’t adjust height in IE 9, 10 and 11. It is very frustrating. Any fix?

That is what forgot to say, in Chrome it shows good. I have to say that I removed the widget from my site. I hope that there is soon a solution so I can place the widget again. Ben Ward?

thanks James. That was the issue. Turn off compatibility mode and it works perfectly. The box for “run compatibility mode for intranets” was checked by default.

Hi,

Just pushed some fixes out now which fix a handful of compatibility issues with IE in various quirks mode and compatibility mode configurations, including this issue. Widget heights should now—touch wood—set themselves as desired in IE regardless of rendering settings.

Hi,

Please help. This has not fixed the issue.

I have embedded the feed in our home page as told. It work fine in Chrome and Firefox. Not IE 10.

I have tried just making a simple plain html page with no Javascript on it in case of conflicts.

Nothing.

Just found this post, and I too am battling the issue where IE10 doesn’t work. Interestingly, IE11 does.

Just to note, the issue originally identified in this thread was fixed. If you’re finding different problems with sites in any version of IE, please post with more detail, and at least URL from which we can debug.

To the best of our knowledge, the widgets are working across all of our supported browsers.

It works very nicely in chrome, firefox & opera but doesn’t show at all in IE 11. I am using windows 8.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

update: it works fine in ie11.0.9.600.16428 on my daughter’s laptop running windows 7. My IE11 on windows 8.1 is 11.0.9.600.16476

Not sure if you still need help on this but I had the exact same issue of twitter widget working on IE 11.0.9 Windows 7 but not working on IE 11.0.9 Windows 8. My issue was my windows 8 computer used a anti-virus protection (Avast) that blocked the twitter feed. I went into (in IE) settings>manage add ons>toolbars and extensions and then disabled the avast online protection. It is not disabling the anti-virus just added web browsing features. Just thought I let you know of my fix as I had been dealing with this problem for a few hours now. Hope that helps.

Hi John,

I’ve tested your widget using IE v11.0.9.600.16476 on Windows 8.1 as well and it renders as expected. As John Sauer also suggests, do you have any browser add-ins for internet security or ad-blocking? We have unfortunately found that sometimes these are overzealous with our scripts.
