Conversion tracking is used to properly measure the effectiveness of cross-promotions and direct sold advertisements. Therefore, we recommend that publishers always implement conversion tracking. The conversion tracking network event only happens once-- a file is stored on device so that the application doesn’t make additional network calls on subsequent application loads.
To implement conversion tracking you will need to do the following:
-Implement the code for iOS and Android
-Enter the App URL for the App that you want to track conversions for in the ‘Click URL’ field
-Enter the App URL ID into the ‘Conversion Tracking ID’ field
-If the iOS app URL is http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/app-name/id123456789?mt=8 then the conversion tracking ID should be 123456789
-If the Android app package is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bfs.papertoss&hl=en then the conversion tracking ID is com.bfs.papertoss
If you are implementing conversion tracking for an Amazon app, you can get the package name from the app. Please note, that you will need to know the code to get the appropriate package name.
