I get an error message when I try to connect my twitter acct. to my website. I am told that twitter may be having difficulty. This has gone on for a few months now. It was working and then it stopped. Help please

I cannot get the twitter buttons to attatch to my website. I want to show my followers pics. I get a message telling me that twitter is having difficulty. It was working earlier this year, however, I have not been able to add twitter buttons for a few months now. Please help.

I have not been able to follow or be followed for a week or 2 now …and today is May 20, 2013…does anyone know what’s wrong …and do I need to do something to fix it?
