Hello! I’m new to the Twitter API and have been playing around.
A few days ago I wrote some bone-headed unoptimized code and accidentally liked a bunch of tweets in a short time-period, which I assume exceeded my 15-minute and 24-hour limits for the favorites/create endpoint.
But after a few days, I’m still getting 429 errors; both from the API and when trying to like tweets from the Twitter website.
I worry my account is somehow degraded or blacklisted, but I can’t find any status or documentation on how to fix this. I’m especially concerned because this app is linked to my main personal Twitter account which I’ve been happily using since 2007, and I can’t like tweets from my friends anymore and it’s bumming me out.
Any thoughts / advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
I would have expected rate limits to reset after 3 days, it’s usually 1 day or so - i’ve done the same with lists before, can’t remember if it took longer than a couple of days to get back to normal.
