when i retweet a tweet im making a new retweet id, why i cant destroy that retweet id if the user who put the original tweet had as private his tweets?
im using statuses/unretweet/[RETWEET ID]
I’ve never actually used status/unretweet but statuses/destroy with the retweet id should work too I believe
statuses/destroy neither destroy the retweetid.
A user account is not able to take action on an account that is private / has blocked another account.
even though a retweet id is different to original tweet id?
Correct. Private (protected), suspended and deleted accounts may not be interacted with via the Twitter API.
