How to use Twitter GET users/search api using javascript?

#1

Hello, I am new to Twitter API. I am developing a website in which i have users with their first name and last name and want to search them from their First name and last name. I want to know that how can i use Twitter GET users/search API to search people from their firstname and last name. I have googled a lot but didn’t find any relevant content. If any body has done this before or any one know about this then please help me.

Thanks in advance

This API is not easily used with Javascript as it requires OAuth authentication on behalf of a user – we only allow usage of OAuth in server-side environments.

Thanks Taylor for replying…
I am developing my website using .net. So is it possible to do this using .net?. Can you please provide some code or link?

This .net library is actively maintained: http://linqtotwitter.codeplex.com/

Thanks again Taylor…
Let me check this… I will use this and will reply here…

Let’s say that the authentication is handled by a nodejs server, and as soon as the oauth process ends, the client-side js has all the parameters needed ( https://dev.twitter.com/docs/auth/authorizing-request ) to make a request to the twitter api ( and can get the signature for a request from the nodejs server ).
Can then the client side make requests to the twitter api?
I tried, but I get cross-origin blocks…
