How to search for Tweets that contain any PlaceID?

I’m interested in tweets that contain any place_id. This means I want to pre-filter all tweets that don’t contain a place id.

So far I could only find the solution of searching for tweets and then checking on my side if a place_id was provided but this is obviously not ideal.

Is there a direct API call where the place ID could be set to “NOT NULL” or similar?

That’s not an option on the API, I’m afraid - you’ll have to do the filtering yourself.
