Hi, I’m a disinfo researcher. I’ve suddenly noticed that my developer account access has been suspended. I had 4 apps two of which were for Twitter feeds on sites I was affiliated with. I’m looking to use Twitter developer apps to conduct research on foreign malign state controlled social media accounts and networks that promote disinformation.
Any help would be appreciated.

You might have to go through the new application thing: https://developer.twitter.com/en/apply-for-access

But have a look at More on restricted use cases – Twitter Developers | Twitter Developer Platform (a lot of people get denied for proposing stuff that’s on that list)

Otherwise you can continue to admin the apps you have on apps.twitter.com - i don’t think those will be deleted.

Hello
My developer account has been rejected, How can I re-apply for a developer account on Twitter?

All of our developer applications are reviewed to ensure compliance with Twitter policy. While we can’t comment on specific cases, applications may be rejected if they are found to be in violation of any section of the Developer Agreement and Policy, Automation Rules, Display Requirements, and/or the Twitter Rules.

Additional information on restricted uses of Twitter APIs is available here.

There currently isn’t a way to edit a rejected application, or to re-apply, however stay informed for product updates/changes.

There are several existing topics on the matter. I’m going to close this one as it is a duplicate.
