I have applied for my academic research but it’s not approved. Can I re-apply? I am 4th year graduate students, I really need the data from march-december 2020 for my research. Thank you.
At this point, we don’t have a way to reapply, but I’ll pass that on as a feedback request.
If your application to the academic product track was rejected, we encourage you to try out the Standard product track. The Standard track is intended to serve our broadest range of developers and researchers with all kinds of use cases. We’re also still working on expanding our offering for the new Twitter API – by introducing a new Business product track in the near future, as well as additional levels of access on all of our product tracks. Our goal is to build the new Twitter API so that it better serves all of our developers, doing all kinds of work with the Twitter API. If your application to the Academic Research product track was rejected, it is likely due to one of these reasons:
- Your proposed use of this product track was for commercial purposes. Only non-commercial uses are accepted. More about non-commercial use
- You did not share a clearly defined research objective, with specific plans for how you intend to use, analyze, and share Twitter data from your research. More about the application info we request
- You are not a graduate student, doctoral candidate, post-doc, faculty, or research-focused employee at an academic institution or university.
- The use case presented in your application is not in compliance with our Developer Agreement and Policy; for example, you are interested in using this data for a restricted use case.
Thanks again! I’m going to mark this topic as closed since there are a few others on this subject already.
