What option in the request form should I choose? There is nothing there resembling whitelisting for email access requests. I chose the generic “not covered” topic and got a response that the helpdesk is for policy inquiries. Is the link in the documentation wrong or is there something lost in translation?
Use xAuth for now, we need to review the Platform Support form options.
Ok, thank you for the response!
@andypiper Unfortunately it didn’t quite work. Got the response below. Any help is appreciated
Thank you for reaching out. Twitter restricts xAuth access, and does not grant it for website-based applications, single-user applications or applications in development. These applications must use the regular OAuth process instead. You’ll find resources that will guide you through this process on our developer site.
Got the same reply minutes after submitting the form.
Also, I don’t have a demo video, as the app is still in development.
Is this a requirement for xAuth specifically, or for the email whitelist?
Please explain in your request (in the text detail area) that you are requesting whitelisting for access to a user’s email address.
@andypiper Dude, this is still not working. I put this first in the text entry
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR WHITELISTING FOR ACCESS TO A USER’S EMAIL ADDRESS
and got the same response I got before
…Thank you for reaching out. Twitter restricts xAuth access, and does not grant it for website-based applications, single-user applications or applications in development…
It seems that the request gets blocked automatically and never reaches Twitter Platform Operations
Please look into this again. Thanks!
Thanks for the nudge. I’m checking this with the relevant folks.
Any updates? We would be happy to use this feature.
Please use the last option on the support.twitter.com/forms/platform page and explain that you would like your app to be whitelisted for access to email address.
Hello,
I got the access to the twitter user’s email, but even though I am querying the verify_credentials method with include_email=true parameter, I get ALL the information back from the user except the email.
Could you point me to the right direction?
Cheers,
Marta
Is that the case with every user you try?
If the user doesn’t have a verified email address, you would get nothing back in that field.
Have you regenerated your keys since changing the permissions to allow access to email? Have you added your privacy policy etc?
Did anyone have success in retrieving user email address?
Yes, lots of people have done. Has your app key been white listed?
We have sent the request for white listening last Friday. In your experience, how long does it take to get the official approval?
It can vary - there was a Thanksgiving holiday this past week so there may be some delays.
OK. Are we speaking about days, weeks or months?
Unfortunately I can’t say for sure, but I would expect it to be days rather than longer - I don’t have visibility of any backlog though.

Hi @nav007neet, I wrote an article in French that you can translate and help you to get emails profile with the Twitter API.
Maxence (@pirmax).
Is this a serious answer? Are you actually Twitter Staff?
