How to get Direct messages from twitter account

Hi,

Can anyone explain me how to Get Direct Messages from twitter account, I am able to Send Direct Messages using REST API provided by twitter but I am not able to Get Direct Messages, please explain with example I could not find out any useful example for Get Direct Messages.

@preet004… can u please let me know how to send Direct Messages using the REST API .It would be of great help.
I have tried implementing the Get Direct Messages but constantly getting the 401 Unauthorized error.
I have checked the Authorization header and Signature obtained from the Oauth Tool to the one I generate through my code , both are same but stil the error persist.
If you find a solution do share.
The base URL for Direct Message that I have Used is :
https://api.twitter.com/1/direct_messages.xml
