How to find if a user is following ONE user in particular?

Hi, my particular goal is to find if a person who signs through OAuth is already a follower of my app.

I know there is the API call https://dev.twitter.com/rest/reference/get/friends/ids

But what if that user is following like 10k others, its gonna take me a few calls and processing to find one item in there.

Is there a way that I’m missing?

The friendships/show endpoint should give you what you need here.
