How to create an app without mobile #

I try to create a new app for my website, I face problem like “Sorry, we don’t have a connection to your carrier yet!” so I another way to connect using long code procedure. This is also not working because INDIA code is not listed in the below links https://support.twitter.com/articles/14226-how-to-find-your-twitter-short-code-or-long-code
Can any one help? regarding this problem

This morning I just wanted to tweet using a command-line application instead of a web browser. I picked one called “t”. Then I was hit by that mobile number requirement. The frustration was so great that I gave in and provided you with my number. But of course you don’t even support my carrier. Why? Why do you have to make my Twitter experience so miserable?

I’m not surprised though - this type of behavior is normal for a lot of companies and it won’t stop since we, the users, continue to use their services nevertheless.

This does work. It takes a couple of days, but until Twitter decides to change their policies this is the only way to get your application up and running.

I encourage everyone to do this. Maybe if a ton of people flood them with this form they will get the hint.

I know this sounds strange… but I do not own a cell phone. Why does it have to be a cell phone? Why can’t a regular phone be used to verify my account? How are people without cell phones, who just want to create an app to connect their blog to their Twitter account, supposed to create an app?

@Heath0701 is totally right, if you install the app in your phone, follow this steps:

go to settings
security
mobile
bind mobile phone/add phone

You’ll be redirected to mobile.twitter.com and there you could type your phone. Then you’ll receive a text message and you only have to confirm clicking at the URL.

It definitely works! Not the most efficient system, but through phone there are not many issues.

In our case we simply want to use twitter for signing in to our own android app. Why should this be more than just a “create app” button ? Make it simple asap.
No need to mention that we have experienced all problems mentioned above and we even have used phone numbers that are located in more than one countries!

I had also same prob… it was showing mobile provider not supported.

But after a lots of try i finally added my mobile no. Now my app is working Fine.

If you are unable to add mobile no… just goto mobile version of twitter. then add ph no. you will get instant confirmation code via sms. then confirm it and use your app.

I could resolve this matter with an iphone.
1: Sign in to twitter with safari (not with twitter app. open with safari)
2: Go to “setting” and you’ll find “Phone”. So input your phone number.
3: Go to “Notifications” and switch on. send verification code to your mobile.
4: You’ll get code, so verify it. then now you can control your APP

I’m in Australia. The short & long code method did not work. But from iPhone safari you can verify. Even if you don’t have an iphone. Just borrow it from your friend or family & log in to your twitter account & add your phone number which is doesn’t matter whether iphone or not. any phone is OK. So your phone will get SMS from twitter with a code.verify it & return iphone to your friend.
