How to ask for less permissions?

hello, I only need a few permissions. How do I specify permissions?

Twitter only has three different permission:

• Read
• Read and Write
• Read and Write and Direct Message Access

You specify this permissions in your app settings, and can’t change them later on for a specific user.
A more fine grained control is not possible at the moment.
