How long is the time window exactly ? how to predict the reset

I’m having some trouble understanding exactly when the quota refreshes.

I have noticed sometimes that the quota is reset 10 sec before the “reset” time return by rate_limit_status.json.

So it is very hard to predict when the quota will be refreshed. It create a problem see schema here : http://t.co/wZ9NOPwp

What would you recommend to predict the limit time ?

How in sync are your clocks to ours? (Our concept of the current time is returned in a HTTP Date header along with the request). Are you using reset times from the rate limit status method or from the HTTP headers in the response?

Our servers are distributed, some variance in timing depending on where you’re being routed should be expected but it should be mostly minimal.
