How long does it take to be approved for Twitter Cards?

I submitted a request earlier for my client, and the approval came through straight away which is most annoying seeing I have been waiting for our own to be approved for over two weeks now.

My domain is www.factor3.co.uk - can someone check to see the status?

Hi,

We applied for player cards for our site yamgo.com a few months ago and haven’t heard anything back. The last message we got was that we had been approved for summary and photo cards on the 29th March. In the validation tool, it just says that our domain *.yamgo.com is still awaiting approval.

Is it normal to wait this long for any sort of feedback?

I keep trying the card tool as well just as a side note, and it keeps saying Failed to get a proxied URL for the image. even tho it validated fine before the image link is fine???

Most card types do not require approval from Twitter, if your markup is correct and the validator gives you all green dots, you are good to go, you can activate your domain on the spot.

The player card is a special case and we review those, our goal is 10 business days, depending on volume it might be a bit longer. See [node:15976] for details about the player card process. Player Cards are reserved for linear audio and video consumption only.

@froginthevalley our twitter player card request has been in for a long long time now are there certain reasons that make the process of approval longer than others our links are validating every time.

Is there a way to find out whether our cards are being processed or not?

@froginthevalley We hope we can use the Player card for our survey app. I hope you agree that running a survey within the Twitter experience would be pretty cool. I saw that this works for slideshare so no reason why it cannot run for Surveys. We love twitter cards.

But i cant access my account i get Something went wrong error see here https://twitter.com/helloaudibase and if anyone shares a url they also get this error on their account not good.

I don’t think so unless you are looking to change to the player card which requires special approval.

You only have to get approval once, it white lists the domain
