What is the best way to send a DM with a tweet so that the receiver can click the tweet link and access it?

I’m currently able to send the DM with the following link format:

https://twitter.com/subtileos/status/1150393415470895105

but this type of url fails to post:

https://twitter.com/subtileos/status/1150393415470895105?s=20

What am I missing?

It displays the tweet if there is an extra new line!
