Help in automated tweeting by some scripting code

I am interested in having some scripting code automate some tweets. Where would I go to get more information on how to code this etc. For example I have a website that is coded in PHP/MySQL and when important things pop up I want it to tweet about it.

Code abounds on the internet for automating the posting of Tweets. I recommend taking a look at @themattharris’s tmhOauth [1] and @abraham’s twitteroauth [2] libraries.
