Has the Twitter Card worked for anyone?

I just spent three hours following the twitter tutorial, viewing a couple of youtube videos & reading threads from other users with the same issues here to no avail. Before I spend anymore time on this, I would like to know of success stories. Does the twitter card really work? I’ve tried many suggestions and I still get the following:
INFO: Page fetched successfully
INFO: 15 metatags were found
ERROR: No card found (Card error)

If I know it actually works, I will keep trying. Thanks!
