Getting Twitter actions by URL

I have a list of URLs that I generate every day, and I’d like to retrieve a count of all twitter actions (shares, likes, quotes, RTs) for each URL via the API. I’m not concerned about particular tweets, rather ANY tweet with a link to that URL (in any form, including shortened) in it.

Any tips on how to do this? I’m open to free, premium, whatever.

There are no API functions that will deliver this regardless of tiering.

So I can get something like entities.urls.expanded_url back but I can’t search using it?

Any suggestion on the best way to approximate that? search by a URL string maybe?
